CourseCamp

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing CourseCamp (app.coursecamp.com) you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old. Password accounts confirm age at signup. Login-link accounts are created when an instructor invites you by email.

Where a higher minimum age is required by local law, that higher age applies.

3. Accounts and roles

  • Learner — joins courses, completes activities, uses the Playground.
  • Instructor — creates courses, groups, and activities, and may review learner work.

Password accounts use email and a password. Login-link accounts (instructor invite) use only email: you request a sign-in link when you need access. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure.

If you are enrolled in a course as a learner, you cannot switch that account to an instructor role.

4. Playground and coding exercises

The Playground runs code in your browser. Saving a project or running a course coding exercise stores your files on our servers.

For coding activities in a course, we keep a history of each run (the code at that moment, and whether the change looked typed or pasted). Instructors of that course may review this history to evaluate your work. Do not put secrets or unrelated personal data in your code.

5. Your content

You keep rights in code and text you create. You grant CourseCamp a licence to host, display, and process that content so we can operate the service (including showing it to instructors of courses you joined).

6. Acceptable use

  • Follow applicable law and respect others' intellectual property.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, or misuse other people's accounts.
  • Do not use CourseCamp to distribute malware or harmful content.

7. Subscriptions

Instructor plans may be billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor (Paddle). You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Learners may use invited courses without a paid subscription.

8. Intellectual property

CourseCamp's software, design, and our own materials are protected. Course content belongs to the instructor or CourseCamp as indicated. You may not copy or redistribute platform materials without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, CourseCamp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the product. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
